Bluff Point Primary School is a level 5 school situated in the regional City of Greater Geraldton. The school gained Independent Public School (IPS) status beginning 2015, and currently hosts the visiting Teacher for the Deaf, School Psychologist, Chaplain and Child Dental Health Clinic. Established in 1913, Bluff Point Primary School celebrated its 100th anniversary in October 2013. Moving to its current site in the 1960’s, it now comprises a mix of older and newer buildings with purpose built Early Childhood, Science and Music rooms.

Bluff Point Primary School provides a safe, orderly, caring environment where high standards are expected and achieved through high quality relationships, staff, pastoral care and teaching and learning programs. We are committed to teaching and learning in an environment that promotes and demonstrates Self-discipline, Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Vigour and Empathy. Our vision of supporting Lifelong Learning for our students is built upon the foundation of those six core STRIVE values.

With enrolments drawn from Aboriginal, non-Aboriginal, migrant and non-English speaking backgrounds, we pride ourselves on our collaborative, multicultural and inclusive school. The school seeks to provide an educational program that caters for a broad spectrum of abilities, needs and interests of students, and has strong links with parents and the local community. Students with physical and learning disabilities are fully integrated into the school, supported by trained Education Assistants who cater for their varying needs. Students attending the school are characteristically from the suburbs of Bluff Point, Spalding, Beresford and the coastal corridor. Some families have gained boundary exemptions for children residing in other suburbs to allow them to access Bluff Point Primary School.

Bluff Point Primary School maintains a strong link with the wider community through informing, liaising and consulting stakeholders, on a regular basis, through a variety of mediums. Collectively, Education is a shared responsibility between parents, school and community, and can make a significant impact on our children’s achievement of potential. Hence our school motto ‘Strive for the Highest’.
